Wendy London is a tri-national (US/UK/NZ), American-qualified lawyer (New Jersey) who depends on technology to run her consultancy businesses from Hawera and Wellington, New Zealand.  Her clients include New Zealand and overseas companies and other organisations in both the private and public sectors. 

Although Wendy still practises some law (focusing on technology law), her main interests are tourism and technology, and a blend of the two. 

Wendy’s two passions are travel and technology – and on a day-to-day basis, combining the two to push boundaries:

• how companies and other organisations can leverage the web to market and manage themselves

• how communities can leverage both tourism and technology as a way to drive economic development

Wendy travels extensively, catching up with her vast international network even whilst on holiday.  The only place she hasn’t met someone she knows or knows someone she knows is Antarctica.  But she knows a man who does…  To cap off her passion for travel, Wendy received her Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism (Distinction) from Otago University in December 2008, and in November 2008, started her Masters in Tourism. 

Her Masters research is focusing on the regulatory, policy, legal, investment and community barriers into sustaining a competitive cruise industry in New Zealand.  Wendy has been awarded  a grant from the New Zealand Ministry of Tourism to help support her Masters research.  Much of her research will be made available on her soon-to-be-launched website, cruisebubble.com.

Wendy has lived in the United States (born and bred), England (16 years), the Netherlands (2 years) and Australia (2 years), and continues to make New Zealand her home – now in its fourteenth year.  She has traveled to every continent - most recently to Antarctica, India and Africa, and is looking forward to her next cruise from Papeete to Ft Lauderdale.  Wendy is currently working on two books about her travels.
